MyOptions WebDesign is a complete web site design and development firm. I do or oversee all the design and development myself. So unlike other "fantastic" design firms you won't be transferred from desk to desk, you communicate directly with me, the lead designer. I have some 15 years experience in web design and graphic design.

I will use the latest in web standards for all web site designs. Including the use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS programming), XHTML compatible pages, and PHP/MySQL database content management systems. To many folks this may not mean much but these two particular standards are imperative to the future of internet browsing. They provide a relatively good cross browser compatibility, accessibility across many mediums (cell phones, pdas etc), and accessibility to the handicapped

The potential client needs to know that I will not "rush" certain things. There is too much at stake. Your web site is a direct reflection of your company (and mine for that matter), in fact to web surfers it is your company. I will not cut corners; I will not publish sub-standard work. With that in mind, I will give you a realistic deadline and meet it. Please if you need your site built yesterday, I encourage you to check out the many "quicky" firms out there. They use "templated", not very original cookie cutter designs that can be rubber stamped rather quickly. However, if you're looking for custom quality that defines your business; if you have a vision of what you want in a web presence, and if you don't mind us spending a little extra time and effort into giving you exactly those things then look no further.

We will guide you every step of the way. Here is a very general overview of the process:

1. Consultation and contract phase

2. Client sends us pertinent materials: logos, business cards, brochures, initial copy etc.

3. Basic Layout- we will lay out the basic format for your pages. That is, how many pages and how they are linked, the context of each page (e.g. About your company, about it's owners, products, services etc). Client sends us more detailed copy for each page.

4. Graphic Design- logo design (if necessary) and development of a package of fonts, colors and graphics that define your company. We use something called Cascading Style Sheets that create a uniform look across all pages in your web site. Also, a template is made that furthers the uniformity of your pages and makes later modifications smooth and efficient.

5. Final Design approval by client.

6. Publish to your host's server.

7. Search engine submission.

8. TELL EVERYONE ABOUT YOUR SITE

Web Design and Development is typically charged at an hourly rate.

A typical small business web site can run from around a few hundred dollars to a few thousand depending on how extensive the client's needs are. An estimate can be prepared for your review and approval before initiation of work.
